What is Student Support Services (SSS)?

Student Support Services is a federally funded program providing comprehensive academic support and guidance to 210 eligible students.
SSS offers three main services:
  

   *Advising & Counseling
   *Tutoring
   *Study Skills Instruction

SSS helps you accomplish your academic goals.

Academically successful participants receive recognition at our annual
TRiO Day Awards Program.

How does SSS fit in with my college career?

Attending a university can be both challenging and exciting. To all, it is a time of new experiences. Therefore, you are encouraged to take full advantage of the numerous academic services UW-Stevens Point offers.

The staff's primary goal is to meet the needs of students and enhance their academic and social success through specialized advising, counseling, tutoring, and study skills instruction. These services help increase retention and graduation rates of SSS participants.

Remember - grades are a reflection of ability enhanced by effort; learning is an individual responsibility.
