Our goal is to provide the same library services and resources to distance education students as we offer to students on campus. We are committed to working with faculty to provide you and your students with the services and resources you need.

Contact Dave Dettman (x4206) for assistance with providing access to licensed library materials such as articles, streaming videos, or book chapters from the Library's collection via D2L.
Library Instruction
There are a number of ways that we can help your students to be aware of and more effectively use library resources:
- Online videos about the Library and our services, tailored to the research needs of your course.
- Online guides specifically tailored to your discipline and/or course.
- Consult the
Distance Education Library Resources Guide as an introduction.
Access to Library Resources
- Use
Search@UW to find ebooks, streaming videos, articles, and other online resources and to request physical items from UWSP or across the UW System.
- Request delivery of items in our collection by using
Interlibrary Loan, or by emailing library.circulation@uwp.edu. Be sure to indicate if you need to have the items delivered to you at an off-campus location.
Journal Articles
- Identify and access journal articles through
Search@UW or one of our more specialized databases from the
Find Databases list. The
Subject listing of databases is useful for identifying those in your academic discipline.
- Search for a title in
Search@UW to to check for online access (use the
View It link) or print holdings (use the
Get It link). Contact Dave Dettman or use the
LARS link to have a print article scanned and emailed to you.

Many online resources will require a login from off-campus. If you or your students have questions concerning your UWSP network account, consult the IT Help Desk (715-346-HELP).
