Library Delivery Service

The Library Delivery service allows faculty and staff to request Library materials for delivery to your department office via campus mail service. The expected turnaround time for delivery of the material is one to two business days. If you have a more immediate need, please contact the Circulation Desk staff directly by phone at x2540. All library users can request items for pickup at the Circulation Desk (CCC 130).

Requests may be placed for any circulating materials that are included in Search@UW, including books, videos, government publications, and bound periodical volumes. Items requested for Office Delivery will be checked out to your staff account prior to being placed in campus mail. (For articles, you may use the Library Article Retrieval Service and have them delivered via email). Students can come to the circulation desk with their UWSP ID card to check out the retrieved materials.

Make a Request Online Using Search@UW

If you are a faculty or staff member and would like to have an item delivered or placed on the hold shelf (students can also request that items be placed on the hold shelf via Search@UW) You can follow the process below.

When you have found an item that you would like to have retrieved select "Get It" followed by "Sign-in for more options." Click on the "UWSP students, faculty and staff login" link.

Once you have successfully logged in you can click on "Local Request."

Faculty and staff can either select the "Work Address" option to have the item delivered or select "UW Stevens Point Library" to have the item placed on the hold shelf. Students can request that items be placed on the hold shelf by selecting "UW Stevens Point Library." You will receive an email when the item is ready for pickup. Delivery is not available for students. Hold shelf items are returned to the collections if they have not been picked up within 10 days.

Make a Request by Phone or Email

You may contact the Library directly to request delivery of an item. This is the preferred method to request delivery of UW Resource Sharing or Interlibrary Loan items or to request a movie for viewing in your classroom.

Be sure to check the due date of each item, since loan periods vary with types of items.
