Information Technology Policies

Information Technology policies are designed to establish and maintain a secure and reliable technology environment for the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point.  These policies establish expectations of behavior for users of information technology and university data resources at UWSP.

When viewing this collection of documents, the short "Description" will introduce you to the topic and the "When does this document apply?" column lets you know if this policy applies to you or your situation.  Click on the link in the Document column to see more complete policy information.  As a result of the current campus-wide data protection initiative, some of the policies included on this web site are draft versions.

Policy documents to which employees or students must agree will be presented to them electronically via a Policy Delivery and Acceptance application.

The CIO coordinates the development and implementation of Information Technology policies working in a collaborative effort with the IT Policy and Planning team, Information Security Team and a broadly representative group of university staff representing administrative and academic areas across the campus.  The development of Information Technology policy documents and the terms used throughout are governed by these documents:
