​How do I check the size of my myFiles network storage space?  

From a campus load Windows computer or a Remote Lab computer:

  1. Click Start - Computer

  2. Your myFiles storage will appear under Network Location and is labeled https://myFiles.uwsp.edu/your_logon_name.  Example: https://myfiles.uwsp.edu/spoin111

  3. Mouse over your myFiles and a pop-up will appear indicating your amount of Space free: and Total size: (sample image below).  Or right-click on your myFiles space and click Properties. The General tab will display your Used and Free Space.

From a campus load Macintosh computer:

  1. Your myFiles storage will appear on the desktop and is labeled My Files.
  2. Double click to open your myFiles location.
  3. Right-click on your myFiles space and select Show View Options.
  4. Check the box next to Calculate all sizes.

The Finder will calculate the total size of your myFiles folders allowing you to see which folders and files are taking up your myFiles space.
