Guest Logon Accounts

Guests to UWSP that would like general Internet access from their personal device may connect to the guest wireless network.  
 
Guests that need to log on to a UWSP networked computer may request one of the following available types of network accounts.  
 
Accounts are not granted to minors, and applicants agree to abide by UWSP Network Usage Policy; violators will be denied further access to UWSP Computing.    
 
Community Visitor Accounts
Members of the community and UWSP alumni may request a UWSP logon and password that will allow them to log on to designated computers located on the main floor of the the Learning Resource Center for up to 1 hour.  These computers provide access to the Internet and library catalogs.        
 
To request this type of account visit the Help Desk with a current photo ID.
 Affiliated Accounts
University affiliates, such as guest speakers, guest students and staff from other educational institutions may request an account to obtain temporary access to the Internet and the UWSP's network from a campus computer lab, or classroom. 
 
Applicants enrolled at another institution must provide proof of enrollment, such as a current semester schedule. Applicants affiliated with a UWSP department must provide proof of authorization and contact information from the sponsoring department.
 
To request this type of account visit the Help Desk with a current photo ID and any supporting materials.
Conference Attendee Accounts
Conferences, workshops and other events held at UWSP may request pre-created accounts that will allow event attendee's to obtain temporary access to UWSP's network & computer resources from a campus computer lab, or classroom. Certain restrictions may apply depending on the needs for the event.
 
To request this type of account, if the event is being held in a computer lab contact Computer Labs Management, all other requests contact the Postmaster.

Printing Options for Visitors

Community Visitors may pay to print from the Library Reference Room area, or Printing and Design (Lower level of the Science building, room D018). Some local businesses provide duplicating and printing services, which can be found in the yellow pages of the Stevens Point telephone directory.
