Human Resources and Affirmative Action are responsible for:
  • Recruiting: Recruit and hire faculty staff

  • Benefits: Administer insurance, retirement, and paid and unpaid leaves (such as Family & Medical Leave)

  • Payroll and Compensation: Coordinate payroll distribution and pay policies and strageties

  • Employee Relations: Oversee human resource policies and ensure employee relations comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations

  • Equity and Affirmative Action: Ensure employment practices are in compliance with federal and state anti-discrimination laws

  • Training and Development: Provide on-boarding, performance management programs, employee and leadership development, career development, and succession planning
