Human Resources and Affirmative Action are responsible for:
- Recruiting: Recruit and hire faculty staff
Benefits: Administer insurance, retirement, and paid and unpaid leaves (such as Family & Medical Leave)
Payroll and Compensation: Coordinate payroll distribution and pay policies and strageties
Employee Relations: Oversee human resource policies and ensure employee relations comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws/regulations
Equity and Affirmative Action: Ensure employment practices are in compliance with federal and state anti-discrimination laws
Training and Development: Provide on-boarding, performance management programs, employee and leadership development, career development, and succession planning
