Admission to the Program

To apply for admission please submit the following to the Admissions
Office
at
102 Student Services Center, UW-Stevens
Point, Stevens Point, WI 54481.
A completed graduate application. List all colleges and/or
universities you have attended. You may obtain a graduate application by
calling the UW-Stevens Point Admissions Office at (715) 346-2441, by
writing the Admissions Office at 102 Student Services Center, Stevens
Point, WI 54481. You may also apply by using the UW System electronic
graduate application at
http://apps22.uwex.edu/pls/ea/Apply.Graduate?src=APPLY&uw=STP
$45 graduate application fee
($56 for all applications submitted after
September 1, 2008).
Wisconsin statutes require that the
application fee accompany your application for admission. The fee is
nonrefundable, and your application will not be processed until the
application fee has been received. Checks or money orders should be made
payable to the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. If you are
applying electronically you can pay with a credit card when you submit
your application.
3. A letter of intent detailing your background qualifications, career goals, and how this program fits into your future professional plans. The letter of intent will be evaluated and used in determining admission.
Official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended (both undergraduate and graduate). Arrange to have official transcripts from each institution you attended, except UWSP, sent directly to the Admissions Office. The transcript from the college from which you graduated must indicate that you earned a bachelor's degree. Transcripts from each institution are required before your application can be processed. Note: UWSP accepts electronic transcripts sent through Docufide and Connect.edu. Remember, the application, fee and transcripts are sent to The Admissions Office, 102 Student Services Center, UW-Stevens Point, Stevens Point, WI 54481.
The Admissions Office will send a copy of your completed application, as
well as a copy of each of your transcripts to Carole Pelot, Graduate
Services, in the School of Health Promotion and Human Development
(HPHD). For the Human and
Community Resources (HCR) program, you need the following:

An
undergraduate grade point average
of 2.75 or above (based on a 4.0 scale). We may grant probationary
status if you have a GPA below 2.75.

A
current resume or a curriculum vita which outlines relevant
professional work experience.
·
A
letter of intent detailing your background qualifications, career
goals, and how this program fits into your future professional plans.
The letter of intent will be evaluated and used in determining
admission.

Graduate record exam
(GRE). Computer-based testing of the GRE is offered by
appointment at Testing Services in Delzell here at UWSP. Testing occurs
in the morning and is offered all year round. For questions and

International graduate applicants need to send the following items in support of their applications:
- UWSP International Graduate Student Application for Admission form
- $60 graduate application fee + USD $50 express courier fee ($110 total) by check payable to "UWSP"
- Official academic records (transcripts) from each postsecondary institution attended
- Certification of English Language Proficiency (TOEFL or IELTS scores) when necessary
- UWSP Financial Support Statement accompanied by an original bank statement or letter verifying funds on deposit
- A photocopy of the biographic information page from the applicant’s passport
