Bud Steiner Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Bud’s mother, Emma Turney, to honor the memory of her son, who was struck and killed by a drunk driver while on a bicycle trip in Canada. During his time at UWSP, Bud was an avid biker and a promoter of health and wellness, and he assisted with campus student living. Scholarships are awarded to Health Promotion/Wellness majors who have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better who have financial need. The Bud Steiner endowment also awards scholarships annually to an outstanding Sigma Tau Gamma member.
