Adventure Tours Testimonials
“It was while doing [a Wisconsin bike tour] during the week of our 20th
anniversary that Dave looked at me and said we should bike in Europe for
our 25th...how about Italy? I couldn't turn that down as a goal
and to make it full circle, we wanted to do the trip with UWSP, knowing
you had a great, well-organized trip abroad. So, last August, as a 25th
anniversary gift to each other, we signed up, knowing it would be a trip
of a lifetime. We see it now as a door of opportunities that has
opened for us, and look forward to another trip abroad in the near
future. Being in Italy, having the opportunity to see and
experience another country/culture, truly facilitated a perspective
adjustment for us.”

"Mallorca is a bicyclist's dream! Imagine biking all day long and never
having a car driver honk his or her horn at you. The people there are very friendly to bikers, the scenery is gorgeous, the roads are excellent, and the food is incredible. I enjoyed the trip so much I am going back a second time. This time around I'll spend more time biking than sightseeing."

“UWSP has the best trips, best leaders, and best participants around. We've traveled with other groups, but they pale in comparison to UWSP. . . UWSP offers the best option for travel—low key travel to great places.” br />Carol T., New Berlin WI
"There is so much to see and do in every location. This is part of the beauty of the trips organized by University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. I could probably plan a trip by myself, and make my hotel arrangements and take my bike. But I wouldn't know where to go or what to see when I got there. The director and leaders of the UW-SP trips plan the best places to visit, and when we get there, offer a handful of options for those who mainly want to bike, for those who want to sight-see, for those who are museum/cathedral/castle geeks...there's so much to see and do that I could have/should have stayed all summer."

"The UWSP trips are a great way to see Europe, meet fun people, and communicate with people who live in the country one is visiting. Besides biking, there is also enough time to shop in great
gift shops, visit museums, castles, cathedrals, and other historical sites. What a great feeling of accomplishment after a day of hard biking, superb accommodations, great food, knowledgeable guides, and the price for all this is very reasonable. I don't think a person could do better through any other program. It's a terrific program; everything is done for you; all we have to do is bike and enjoy ourselves, and we sure do."
Lois & John F., Chippewa Falls, WI
"We thoroughly enjoyed the superb organization and sense of companionship. We are looking forward to taking more tours in the future with UWSP Adventure Tours."

"The UWSP bicycling trips have opened my eyes to a great way to see and learn about other countries. They have all the elements of success:
- Top-notch planning – done by someone else so I don’t have to!
- A glimpse into the lives of the ordinary people of the visited countries. What can beat talking to an Irish farmer out in his pasture pacing off a new fence?
- Adventures the ordinary traveler doesn’t dream of, like biking to the edge of a glacier in Iceland.
- Wonderful traveling companions who come together with nothing more than a love of adventure and cycling in common.
- Excellent accommodations.
- A flexible schedule that allows individualized touring within the overall timetable.
- Trips that anyone can enjoy, from the fittest racer to the casual neighborhood pedaler.
I can’t imagine a better way to see Europe."
