Cytotechnologists serve as detectives in searching for signs of disease. They are prepared to distinguish gross and subtle changes in human cells found in any tissue or fluid of the body.

Students seeking a career in Cytotechnology will earn a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in Clinical Laboratory Science, Cytotechnology Option. The first three years of study are completed on campus. During the fourth year, students complete a 12 month Clinical Practicum at one of the affiliated hospitals.  Upon graduation, students are eligible to take a national certification examination that further strengthens their credentials.
