Courses Taught Kristi’s first adapted physical
education job was when she taught her classmate, a boy with
a disability, how to skip for the third grade Maypole
Celebration.
Kristi has had a passion for the field ever since.
She received her B.S. in Sports Studies from Kristi spent 10 years teaching in the public school system prior to taking her position as the Adapted Physical Education Coordinator at UWSP. Her various positions included High School Health and Physical Education teacher and Women’s Soccer Coach in Greensboro, NC, Elementary Physical Education teacher in Saipan, MP, Middle School Health and Physical Education teacher in Burlington, NC, Adapted Physical Education teacher in Greensboro, NC, and an Adapted Physical Education Consultant for a variety of school districts in North Carolina and Texas. Kristi proudly runs an on campus
practicum for students with disabilities at UWSP on Fridays.
She takes great joy in sharing her passion for the
field in the variety of adapted physical education courses
she teaches. She
also enjoys teaching and learning through community service
and scholarly work including numerous presentations in In her free time Kristi enjoys spending time with her best friend and husband, Matt and her two delightful sons, Timmy and Daniel. They love to travel, fish, snowboard, camp, hike, paddle, play games, and read. They also take joy in caring for their 3 cats and 1 dog. |
