Big Falls and Little Falls are a short distance apart on the Little Wolf River. The nearest town of any size is Iola, about 10 kilometers to the southwest, and Tigerton, about 10 kilometers to the north. The numerous east-west hills are commonly mapped as drumlins but may well be bedrock cored with the preferred orientation governed by joints.
