Preparing for Exercise 8
Climate Classification and Regional Climates

Exercise 8 Climate Classification is designed to give you exposure to using the Koeppen climate classification system while learning about the characteristics of earth's regional climates. You will demonstrate the relationship between subtropical high pressure, earth's major ocean currents, and their effect on climate. You'll develop and understanding of the role topography plays on the geographic distribution of precipitation. We will complete Parts 2 and 3 (depending on semester part 1 too) of the exercise.

Before coming to lab....

You should review your lecture notes concerning regional climates. Bring your lecture notes, as well as your calculator, to lab.
