Preparing for Exercise 6
Lapse Rates and Stability

Without a doubt, the topic of lapse rates and stability is a difficult one. By the time you're finished with this lab, you should know how to calculate vertical temperature changes in the air, determine air stability, and condensation levels. You are responsible for completing Part 1 before the end of lab.

Before coming to lab....

You should review your lecture notes for "Lapse Rates, Stability, and Clouds" and bring them to lab.  Make sure to read the introduction to Exercise 6 before coming to lab. I will lead you through a set of example problems at the beginning of lab.

Don't forget to bring a calculator.
