The Way Your Course Grade is Calculated

At the end of the semester, I will take your average score on the four exams and multiply it by 80% (or 0.8).  To that number I will then add the number of points you have earned from participating in your small learning group.

For example, if your final exam average is 50 and you have received credit for all 10 small group exercises (or 20 points), then your final average would be: 

  [(50 x 0.8) + 20]  =  60 points.
