CRITICAL THINKING AND SCIENCE

Critical thinking is much more than memorization,  and
science is much more than simply learning certain "facts".

As defined by the University, a course offered as a Natural Science GDR must:

                (1)  expose students to the scientific method;

                (2)  provide students with opportunities to
                       draw conclusions, infer relationships,
                       solve problems, make predictions, and
                       learn the principles of taxonomy; and

                (3)  give students an appreciation for how
                       natural science is relevant to life and
                       society.
