This course will examine geography in professional practice. Includes disciplinary history, programs of study, careers, information resources, and current research. We will introduce the major traditions and paradigms of geography with an emphasis on their conceptual frameworks and contemporary applications.

This web site contains the official calendar for this course. The schedule will change - You must check this web site and your email regularly.

There is a rental text for this class called Key Methods in Geography. In addition, I HIGHLY recommend purchasing The Handbook of Technical Writing, Eighth Edition (Handbook of Technical Writing Practices) by Gerald J. Alred, Charles T. Brusaw, and Walter E. Oliu. I bought the third edition when I took a technical writing course in 1994. I have used this book repeatedly since that time -- more than any other book during my college experience.

Any student who has a disability and is in need of classroom accommodations, please contact me at the beginning of the semester. Also, if you require accommodations due to your religion, please contact me.
