I do not mind discussing projects with classmates, but assignments turned in must be your own work. All projects will be submitted to turnitin.com. I pursue sanctions against cheaters vigorously. If you have any questions about whether or not something you plan to do is considered academic misconduct, just ask me.

Attendance & Participation

are not required (you're paying for this). However, poor attendance is strongly reflected in student performance. I use in-class participation as a method for taking attendance. In-class activities (participation) cannot be made up, even if you have an excused absence. These activities are often unscheduled, spontaneous, one-of-a-kind, non-repeatable opportunities. If you were absent, you did not participate. I will allow for two missed participation opportunities when computing participation scores.
