The required textbook for this course is "The World Economy: Resources, Location, Trade, and Development, 4th Edition" by Frederick Stutz and Barney Warf.

This course is an introductory survey of the distribution patterns, organization, and conduct of world economic activities and related issues. Topics may include population, resources, transportation, agriculture, mining, forestry, fishing, manufacturing, services, trade, and economic development. Many of these topics can be interpreted through different perspectives. Solutions to world economic problems are also diverse. Success in this course is partially dependent on you having an open mind to global diversity.
