indicated by brown dots/speckles on the map. The could be either an
end moraine or ground moraine.
- Paternoster
lakes - The chain of lakes within the glacial valley is indicated
by blue on the map, as are the connecting rivers.
- U-shaped
valley or glacial trough - A relatively flat, wide bottomed valley
is indicated by widely spaced contour lines on the map. The valley
walls are shown by contour lines located closer together indicating
the steep sides of the valley walls.
