PROJECT DESIGN
TERM
PROJECT: Each student will contribute to the conduct and presentation a
biogeography field investigation, which will be "Determining
Local Distributions of
Rhamnus spp.
[Buckthorn]."
.
Write up your findings as a
team report, convert it into an electronic presentation that includes
analysis of at least one original (team-created) map, and present the
project report to the class within fifteen minutes during one of the last
sessions of the semester (including the final exam period scheduled for
10:30 on Monday, December 17th). Your attendance is required at ALL presentations,
whether you are presenting or not.
[BACK]
YOUR
PROJECT TEAM MUST SUBMIT ITS TERM PROJECT (including all graphics) IN DIGITAL FORMAT
via
the server "drop box" at \\GeoDept1\Classes\Geog358\[team
name].
You
must be rigorous in proper citation format for all outside
references in the report AND the presentation. This includes
references to external web sites; see Walker's guide for proper
URL citation format. You may present quotes or images from external sites
ONLY if you properly
cite them.
The checklist that I will use to evaluate your work in this
course appears below; use it as a guide to structuring your project report.

| 358 GRADE CHECKLIST: Your course grade consists of
40% for two exams; 10% for your mutual fieldbook; 20% for the field
skills test; 20% for the mutual project report; and 10% for your
mutual presentation. Maximum possible
values appear in parentheses. |
