344 Web Weaving
If you're viewing this, you can see some of the reason why I am personally a big fan of the Internet in teaching: materials are reproducable, displayable, modifiable, constantly accessible, and do not require your physical presence or temporal synchronization with me to partake of them (now how's that for a run-on sentence and a string of made-up words?). Seriously, more and more occupations now require the capacity to share information rapidly, and I want you to gain experience at creating accessible information. Therefore, you will create files of your project materials in a format suited to posting and sharing on the worldwide web. This prospect for a novice might seem incredibly intimidating, but you will probably find that web (HTML) format is one of the easier tasks I am assigning. Most current software includes conversion routines, and although you will likely need to use an editor for refinement, it probably will not take you long to create good-quality materials for the Internet. For guidance to web page design, try the Yale Web Page Manual, or click "Web Weavers" on the banner at left for other helpful sites.
