Folio Tab FunctionsThe folio tab enables access and control over your folios. A folio is a master file that calls up other files that you have created to reconstruct an earlier session. The Content button permits you to view what these other files are. All of these files and the folio are a bundle that you can transfer as a single file using the Transfer button, much as zip compression files work. Usually a folio consists of a particular project; in the example below there are four separate projects as separate XMap folios. Various XMap subfolders store the different kinds of project files, and you must copy them all to appropriate subfolders on another computer (having the XMap software resident) if that other computer is to bring up your work for additional use. The directory structure (as shown below on Windows Explorer) should be on the hard drive. Draw files (.an1) must go into the Draw subfolder (not the main DeLorm Docs folder as below), folio files (.xmp) into the MapFolios subfolder, route files (.rtd) into the Navigation subfolder, and print files (.bmp) into the Print subfolder.
