Persimmon Gap Area

Enroute to Nine Point Draw we will map Park boundaries and geologic contacts near the Park's north entrance. These are the oldest formations within the entire Park.

Advisory: STAY TOGETHER; keep visible! This is very dry and sunny desert, even in winter. Sun protection (sunscreen, long sleeves, hat, and eyeshades), leg protection (boots, socks, and gaiters), THREE liters of liquids, and both a radio and flashlight with spare batteries are required for EVERY person on each hike.
