Annual Campaign for UWSP
The Annual Campaign for Point is a university-wide campaign for UWSP which provides regular, annual support to campus. It is the primary campaign through which alumni, parents, and friends make gifts to UWSP. The loyal support of alumni, faculty, staff, parents, friends, and corporations make this effort a success each year.
Most gifts to the Annual Campaign are made as university-wide gifts. These gifts are vitally important to the continued quality of teaching and learning at UWSP because they offer the flexibility to be used to support emerging opportunities and unmet needs when often no other source of funding is available. State support accounts for only 39% of UWSP's operating budget, and state funds are strictly allocated to specific areas on campus.
Gifts that are made with restrictions to specific departments and programs on campus are also received through the Annual Campaign and are greatly appreciated as well.
Each year the Annual Campaign supports student professional development opportunities, technology upgrades, facility improvements, faculty research, new programs, scholarships, and many more important projects at UWSP.
Last year, the Annual Campaign raised over $470,000 to support the university. Alumni, parents, and friends of the university were contacted through the mail or by phone for the opportunity to support this important campaign. Thank you to everyone who has made a difference with their gift.
