Ana Runnion
Biography
Mrs. Ana Runnion is a native speaker of Spanish. After spending her first
25 years in the city of San Salvador, El Salvador. In El Salvador Ana studied
Dentistry for three years at the Universidad Nacional de El Salvador. She lived
in Mexico DF and San Juan del Rio Queretaro for 1 year where she attended the
“La Universidad Autonoma de México.” Here she continued studying dentistry. Ana
and her husband moved to the Philippines for one year, then she came to the
United States. Mrs. Runnion got her Bachelor of Arts and her teaching
certification in Spanish and English as a Second Language at the University of
Wisconsin-Stevens Point In 1994. Mrs. Runnion attended the Universidad Nacional
de Costa Rica during the summer of 1995 .She got her Master's degree of Science
in Education (General) at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point in 1999. In
the summer of 2000 she attended the Universidad Complutense of Madrid. In 2006,
Ana Runnion joined the Department of Foreign Languages at the University of
Wisconsin Stevens Point as Associate Lecturer of Spanish. She teaches Spanish
102, 211, 212 and 313. She is also an advisor for the Association of Latin
American Students (SALSA).
Mrs. Runnion has taken the Students to Spain
for the study abroad program in Valladolid with The International Programs, here
at UWSP and she will do it again in 2010.
In her spare time, Mrs.
Runnion enjoys, reading, walking, Taekwondo, traveling and surfing the internet
to know what is going on in the world.
