Urban Trees and Shrubs
Urban Tree and Shrubs is a two credit course that will provide you with a working knowledge of landscape plant materials including site assessment, plant selection, and landscape use for urban, suburban, and rural communities. We will spend much of the class outside learning plant identification through systematic introduction to the use and characteristics of deciduous and evergreen woody plants suitable for the northeastern U.S. landscapes. Approximately 150 plants from 35 plant families are covered.
