Graduate Students 

 Key Things To Know  

  1. Similar to undergraduate students, you must complete the FAFSA annually listing UWSP's school code (003924).
  2. Once a student receives their first bachelor’s degree, they are no longer eligible for federal or state grants.
  3. You must be admitted to UWSP as a graduate student and also admitted to a specific graduate degree program before being awarded financial aid. See the Admissions Page on Graduate Study for more information.
  4. You must be enrolled at least half-time (see the chart below) to be considered for Federal Work-Study and receive the Unsubsidized Direct Loan.

  6. Inform the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships of any other resources you are receiving.
  7. Contact the the Office of Financial Aid and Scholarships for a budget appeal should your program have higher costs than what is budgeted. You may view your budget in accesSPoint.
  8. Should you need additional assistance than what is offered, consider applying for the Graduate PLUS Direct Loan or a private educational loan.
