EMERGENCY SERVICES

ACADEMIC FACILITIES ONLY

Request is made to Facility Services PH 346-4219, after hours this phone will be answered by Protective Services. They have the 24 HR/ call list for contacting staff.

  • Roof leaks
  • Plumbing repairs
  • Spills other emergency custodial services
  • Burnt out lights or blown fuses
  • Grounds hazards
  • Unsatisfactory space temperature conditions

Housing requests should be made to the front desk in the hall
University Centers requests should be made to UC Maintenance pH 346- 4291
Parking lot requests should be made to Parking PH 346-3900

Routine Services

Housekeeping in all Academic building is provided five days a week in most building according to the Service schedule for the building. For a copy of your buildings Service Guide or other routine housekeeping questions contact Thia Heil 346- 3647.

Building Maintenance is provided for all academic building by the maintenance department. Route repairs are requested by submitting a work order or calling 4219. Inquiries about routine repairs may be addressed to Paul Biersack 346-4273 during the daytime and Tom Johnson 346-3647 in the evenings

P Routine repairs include:

  • Plumbing in Public areas
  • Locks, doors and windows
  • Ceiling tile, floor surfaces
  • Painting
  • Electrical Systems

Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning is provided in all building per the occupancy schedule. Some areas of buildings have 24 hour a day ventilation for laboratory or equipment needs. This area also provides refrigeration maintenance and repair Inquires regarding space conditions may be made to Mike Marksteiner 346- 4275.

Grounds provides routine maintenance of all landscape, play fields and snow removal. Inquires concerning Grounds should be made to Chris Brindley 346-3622. Schmeeckle Reserve is under separate administration and may be reached at 346-4992.

Recycling is picked up at a central location in all buildings processed and sold. Units within buildings are generally responsible for bringing recyclables to the central location. Questions made be addressed to Chris Brindley 346-2552

Auto maintenance and Repairs is provided for all State Owned Vehicles. Question concerning the auto shop may be made to Chris Brindley 346-3622.

Mail Services receives all incoming mail and distributed this and in-house mail to most Campus Buildings. Outgoing US Mail is collected, postage applied and picked up by a processor.

Repair, Alteration and Construction of laboratory equipment and departmental equipment is provided a s a charge back service. Call 4219 to be directed to the appropriate personnel.

Building Remodeling and Alterations are done as a chargeback and is provided for projects costing under $30,000. Depending on the scope of the project one or more area may be involved. Initial contact may be to Jerry Walters 346-4272

Surplus Sales provides for the disposition of all surplus State property. The primary means of disposal is to remove items to the Surplus Store offering it for sale every Friday afternoon. Other means of disposal are available, contact Fred Hopfensperger 346-4474

Central Stores provides paper and other supplies under state Contract. The Stores page has the Catalogue and an electronic order form.
