The buildings are: Old Main, Student Services Center, Communication Arts Center, Health Enhancement Center, Science Building, Collins Classroom Center, Learning Resources Center, College of Fine Arts, College of Professional Studies, College of Natural Resources, Nelson Hall, the Maintenance/Materiel Building, George Stien Annex, Wood Utilization Laboratory and the Suzuki Institute.
Routine cleaning includes: restroom cleaning; classroom cleaning, office cleaning, sweeping and/or moping stairwells and entrances to buildings', dust mopping and mopping or vacuuming all floors; removing trash from buildings', and sweeping outside of building entrances. Project cleaning includes: washing windows', stripping and waxing all floors', refinishing wood gym floors', shampooing carpets', and project cleaning in the pool.
Custodial Services supports scheduled activities on the grounds and academic buildings involves setting scaffolding, staging, bleachers, chairs, backdrops, rises, tables, sound systems, and whatever else is required. This work is done as a chargeback as required in Financial Policies and Procedures Policy. Cost estimates and even fixed prices can be provided in advance through the Conferences and Reservations person who is coordinating the event. Non routine cleaning charges may be included if he event schedule is such that a routine cleaning will not restore the premises to their normal operational requirements.
Custodial Services provides moving services within an academic buildings at no charge. Moves between buildings and to off campus locations are done on a chargeback basis. Materials are transported to the Surplus Store at no cost.
Regular staff, with the assistance of student assistance remove snow and ice from building entrances to where the Grounds equipment can pick up the task.
