The University Technology Committee (UTC), subject to review by the Faculty Senate, has the authority to determine Faculty Senate policies pertaining to the development, implementation, and use of technology across the campus. The committee's authority shall extend to such matters as the following:
- Policies governing technology development, acquisition, and access.
- Policies governing faculty/staff development in uses of technology.
- Policies governing student training in technology.
The Mobile Apps Advisory Committee (MAAC) is an ad hoc subcommittee of the UTC. The MAAC is tasked with assisting Information Technology as it develops mobile apps to meet the needs of the university. It is anticipated that the duration of the ad hoc MAAC will be from April 2012 through the spring semester 2014.
