RE: EXTENDED—Call for Nominations for Search and Screen Committee for Associate Dean of College of Letters and Science
Dean Cirmo requested that a search and screen process be initiated to fill the vacancy of Associate Dean in the College of Letters and Science. As per the University Handbook, a call for nominations of faculty members from the College of Letters & Science (COLS) to make up the elected faculty of the affected college search and screen committee membership was distributed to COLS faculty and academic staff December 4, 2012; the deadline for nominations was December 10, 2012.
(Per the Constitution of the Faculty Senate, for purposes of institutional governance, “faculty” is defined as persons holding at least 50% FTE faculty or academic staff appointments.)
At this time the following nominations are still needed to complete the COLS faculty representation on the Associate Dean of COLS Search and Screen Committee:
· Two members from among
o English;
o History;
o Political Science;
o Sociology
· Two members from among
o Biology;
o Chemistry;
o Computing and New Media Technologies;
o Mathematical Sciences;
o Physics and Astronomy;
o Psychology
Each College of Letters and Science department may nominate one individual. If more than one individual representing a department is nominated, the Nominations and Elections Committee will forward the nominations to the department for a decision on one nominee from the department for the ballot. (Please note, departments from which nominations have been received have not been included in the above listings.)
The deadline for nominations has been extended to December 14, 2012; please have completed, signed nomination forms to the Faculty Senate Office, by December 14, 2012. Completed forms can be forwarded via campus mail to arrive to the Faculty Senate Office (Room 118, Old Main) no later than Friday, December 14, or a PDF document can be forwarded to: nsimon@uwsp.edu within the established timeframe.
Thank you.
