Central Wisconsin Airport Arrival Information
Be certain that your flight itinerary has Central Wisconsin Airport (airport code: CWA) as your final destination in the U.S. CWA is served by Northwest Airlines (from Minneapolis & Detroit), United Airlines (from Chicago), and Midwest Airlines (from Milwaukee).
Once you have purchased your ticket, contact the ESL Program (esl@uwsp.edu) with your flight details:
- arrival airline
- arrival flight number
- arrival date, and
- arrival time
When we receive this information, we will make arrangements for an ESL Program student assistant to meet you at the airport.
Arrival
Upon arrival at Central Wisconsin Airport (CWA) you will be met by an ESL Program student assistant PROVIDED YOU HAVE INFORMED THE OFFICE OF YOUR DATE AND TIME OF ARRIVAL.After you exit the plane (don’t forget any items you carried on!) follow the overhead signs from the arrival/departure gates to the baggage collection area. CWA is a small airport, there is only one baggage carousel. The baggage collection area is located to the right after you clear the security checkpoint. The ESL Program student assistant will meet you in the baggage collection area.CWA is located in Mosinee, Wisconsin, 20 miles (32km) north of Stevens Point. Under normal conditions, the drive from the airport to the UWSP campus takes no more than 25 minutes. Relax and enjoy the scenery and fresh air while chatting with the ESL Program student assistant!
