Room and board contracts are written by the UWSP Office of Residential Living for 16 weeks (two sessions/one semester) and are payable in full upon arrival. Students who leave the ESL Program after completing one 8-week session are eligible for a pro-rated refund of their room and board fees + their $125 housing deposit based on their departure date and less any outstanding balances. Students who leave after 16 weeks will receive a refund of their $125 housing deposit less any outstanding balances. Students whose studies continue into a second semester will receive a $125 credit on their second semester housing bill for the $125 paid as the first semester room deposit.
The required ESL Program Orientation for new students often begins before the UWSP Office of Residential Living’s regular contract periods. As a result, new students will be charged a nominal fee -- currently $85 for orientation week (Sunday-Saturday). These charges will be added to your university account and are payable when billed.
University food service is not available during pre-contract orientation periods. Please budget accordingly.
Application Fee: The USD $100 Application Fee is NOT refundable at any time
Tuition Fee: You may receive an 80% refund of the tuition fee if you officially withdraw before the end of the first week of classes. Tuition fee refunds for withdrawals after the end of the first week of classes are apportioned on a sliding scale. See the ESL Program office for additional details on processing an official withdrawal.
