Position:
Director of Financial Operations/Controller
Position Description:|
This position reports to the Vice Chancellor for Business Affairs and is
responsible for providing overall direction and leadership to campus and UW
System managers on financial operations and systems including budget control,
cash management, financial systems, grant accounting, financial reporting,
purchasing, accounts payable and accounts receivable. In addition, this
position provides advice and counsel to campus executive management and
financial managers on fiscal and operating budget policies and procedures.

Department/University Description:
Established in 1894, University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point (UWSP) is a
comprehensive state university with an enrollment of almost 9,000 students. The
campus is located in Stevens Point, which is centrally located in the state on

Qualifications:
Successful candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Accounting
or a related business field and at least eight (8) years of progressively
responsible experience, preferably within a higher education institution.
Applicants should possess a strong commitment to customer service and knowledge
of and experience with complex computer-based financial management systems. An
MBA degree and/or CPA designation is preferred.
Appointment Date:
July 1, 2008 or as soon as possible thereafter.
Terms of Employment:
This is a 100% professional limited appointment on an annual (12 month)
basis. This position offers a competitive salary plus excellent benefits.
Salary is commensurate with qualifications.
