Position:

One full-time position in graphic design (Probationary Tenure-Track) (Pending Approval of Funding)

Position Description:
Teaching responsibilities include instruction at all levels of graphic design in a well-established and evolving NASAD accredited BFA program. Candidate must possess skills in typography, print communication, design history and theory, digital imaging, web-based design, and relevant Macintosh-based software. Additional skills in one or more of the following areas are highly desired: digital communication, time/motion-based graphics, multi-media authoring, or video.
Other responsibilities include: participation in program and curriculum development, student advising, university service, and continued pursuit of professional creative research.

Department/University Description:
Department of Art and Design
Located in the Noel Fine Arts Center. The College of Fine Arts and Communication houses four departments: Art & Design, Communications, Music, and Theatre & Dance

Qualifications:
MFA in design-related field. Active record of professional achievement. University teaching experience desired.

August 27, 2006

Terms of Employment:

Assistant Professor, Tenure Track
Salary is competitive, commensurate with experience and qualifications
