Position: Assistant Professor of Computing and New Media Technologies
Position Description:
Teach core courses in the Computer Information Systems (CIS) and Web & Digital
Media Development (WDMD) curricula focusing primarily on Web-based application
development and object-oriented programming. The major specialty areas for this
person will include one or more of the following:
1) Rich Internet Application technologies: Flash/Flex, Silverlight, AJAX.
2) Traditional server-side technologies: PHP, ASP.NET.
3) Traditional client-side technologies: XHTML, CSS, JavaScript.
4) Object-oriented programming (e.g. Java and C#).
Good programming skills and experience in database design and applications a
plus. The candidate is expected to demonstrate professional growth, an active
research agenda, and university/professional service commensurate with a
teaching-oriented department.

Demonstrated interest in and commitment to undergraduate teaching
required
Demonstrated interest in and commitment to one of the defined specialty areas
Master’s Degree with experience required
Ph.D. a plus
Appointment Date: August, 2010
Terms of Employment:
Tenure track position
Salary commensurate with education and experience
Teaching load averages twelve credit hours per semester
Limited summer teaching appointments available
