Position: Assistant Professor of Business (Entrepreneurship)
Position Description:
Teach entrepreneurship, small business and related courses. UWSP’s
expectations for retention and tenure include excellent teaching, ongoing
scholarship and active service.
Department/University Description:
The Division of Business and Economics, an AACSB member, has approximately 18
full-time faculty positions and 750 majors in Business Administration,
Accounting and Economics. The University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point is a
leading undergraduate institution located in scenic Central Wisconsin. Stevens
Point has been rated as one of the top places to live in the US
(http://top100.relocate-america.com/). UWSP has consistently been named one of
the top public mid-western universities in U.S. News and World Report’s college
rankings, with national recognition for its study-abroad programs. Business &
Economics has numerous opportunities for students and faculty to engage in
international study and research. .
Qualifications:
Seeking AACSB academically or professionally
qualified faculty. Prefer Ph.D./D.B.A. from an AACSB-accredited institution
or Master’s degree with significant experience in small business, economic
development or entrepreneurial activities. Will consider ABD. Teaching
and/or industry experience a plus.
Appointment Date: Expected August 2010
Terms of Employment: This is an Assistant Professor, tenure track position. Salary is dependent on education and experience.
