UW-SP Upward Bound Program 2008 Summer Employment:Position and Qualifications:  Seeking summer employee.  Position involves providing assistance to disadvantaged high school students from central/northern Wisconsin in the form of an intensive six week summer program.
Employment begins June 13, 2008 and ends July 30, 2008 for Live-in Position.

Live-in Position:  (Live-in position is provided with complete room and board.)

#08-AS36-S-L –Residence Hall Director:  (1.0 position).  Rank and Salary:  Ad hoc Program Specialist, $3,975/Total Salary.  Master's degree in counseling or social work preferred, Bachelor's degree in related field or persons holding a teaching credential will be considered.  Similar experience required.  Administrative experience essential.  Able to complete paperwork, supervise staff and students per program requirements.  Familiarity and sensitivity with educationally disadvantaged, low income/first generation college candidates a definite asset.  The ability to work well under a variety of conditions, evaluate residential hall staff and participants.  Live-in position.  American Red Cross First Aid and CPR Certifications an asset.  Upward Bound Alumni are encouraged to apply.  A valid driver’s license and the ability to drive state motor pool vehicles are required.
