Special Assistant to the Chancellor for Equity and Affirmative Action

The Special Assistant to the Chancellor for Equity and Affirmative Action is responsible for providing leadership on equity and affirmative action at UWSP, providing education and training on issues related to equity and affirmative action, serving as ombudsperson for faculty, staff and students on issues related to equity and affirmative action, developing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating equity and affirmative action policies and procedures, and working with campus organizations and committees on equity and affirmative action issues.

Equal Opportunity Specialist

The Equal Opportunity Specialist role in the Equity & Affirmative Action Office includes the following responsibilities: monitoring and answering questions concerning search and screen procedures for employment; monitoring hiring forms to assure they are completed according to federal, state, and system guidelines; assisting in the compilation of affirmative action plans; functioning as an initial contact for affirmative action and discrimination (including sexual harassment) complaints; coordinating programs with state agencies; web page maintenance and design; and managing the EAA office.
