Patricia Gott

Patricia (Pat) Gott received her Ph.D from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale in 2000. Her dissertation analyzed women’s individual and relational identity in the novels of Jean Rhys. Most recently, she has taught at Texas A & M University—Corpus Christi and Dakota Wesleyan University, as well as the University of Wisconsin—Superior. Her area of specialization includes modern and contemporary British literature,  multicultural American writers, and feminist studies. Other interests include studying popular culture and politics. In her free time, she enjoys seeking out new music, watching independent films, and exploring the backroads of the Midwest. A native northern Wisconsinite, she is greatly relieved to be back in a state with a vast array of deciduous and conifer trees once again.
