G. Christopher Williams
Chris Williams is a generalist who received his PhD from Northern Illinois University after working several years in online design and consulting. He is interested (appropriately enough) in a broad variety of topics in twentieth century literature, literary theory, and other newly emerging fields of study that have an interest in narrative and narrativity, including games theory, film studies, pop culture studies, and media studies. Narrative, technology, and philosophy blend into the majority of his work and play.He has published his work in journals like Film Criticism, Post Script, Popular Culture Review, and Atenea. An essay concerning hyperreal ethics is forthcoming in The Games Reader: An Introduction to Games, Game Players, and Gaming Culture. Additionally, he writes multimedia reviews for popmatters.com.
He is presently teaching Freshman Composition and various literature and media studies related courses with a desire to make students aware of rhetorical strategies, able to read closely, and capable of quick wit, flamboyant style, and the cultivation of decadence.
