Lawrence Morgan

BIO

Professor Lawrence Morgan moved into the academic world after 20 years as a professional journalist. He wrote for the Associated Press in its Detroit Bureau and wrote outdoor and sports reports for newspapers in Corpus Christi, Texas. When newspaper writing ran its course, Morgan earned his Ph.D. in professional writing and began to teach at UW-Stevens Point in 2006. Whether students study in the humanities, arts, business, or sciences, communicating in writing will lead to success after they leave UWSP. Professor Morgan leads various professional writing courses (Writing Proposals and Grants, Outdoor Writing, Business Writing) where he gets to read outdoor/environmental essays and papers, and see students put their writing to work outside the university.
