  Severe Weather
Notification of severe weather will be relayed to hall staff/summer conference hosts via audix or e-mail. Front desk staff will make the announcement on the hall PA system. If a siren sounds, building occupants should take shelter in the lowest safe location available, preferably in an interior room or basement. Avoid wide span structures such as gyms, pools or metal buildings. Remain in your shelter area until instructed to do so otherwise by your hall staff/summer conference hosts, Protective Services or local authorities.

Refer to the UWSP Inclement Weather Policy, which can be obtained from the Personnel Office at ext. 2606 in the event of a major ice/sleet/snow storm.

Keep a flashlight and battery-operated radio to take to the shelter area.
