The weather radios provide automatic emergency alerts during severe weather and also continuous weather notices and forecasts at a push of a button.

These are essential tools for notification of approaching dangerous weather. Units have battery power capability so they can be brought along on field trips, camps, and other remote locations.

There are desk top units and hand-held portable units for field work or trips.

In addition, there is no charge to UWSP areas for this equipment! The units are courtesy of the Safety & Loss Control Department.
