Welcome to the world of teaching! The Seminar in Student Teaching provides the bridge from your career as university student to your teaching career! I encourage you to think of the seminars as opportunities for professional growth and development. The primary focus of the seminars is the creation of an electronic professional teaching portfolio. The portfolio is an exit requirement for the School of education and you will need to turn in your electronic portfolio on a CD at the final seminar on Friday, May 16, 2008. The Portfolio Checklist, Portfolio Rubric, and Guidelines for Portfolio Presentation are documents to which you will want to refer often. Links to these documents can also be found under Course information. Guest speakers and mini-workshops will provide you with information that will assist you with your portfolio and in your future teaching career.
