I have taught for fourteen years in grades four through six at Washington Elementary School in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. My most enjoyable teaching moments come when students show a love, excitement and ownership for their own accomplishments. Teaching with the multiple intelligences allows every child the opportunity to succeed. They are able to investigate and demonstrate their learning in a unique and comfortable way, often different than the teacher may expect. I have always had the belief that choice, and variety that involves all the senses, is the best way to reach students. Now I have a vocabulary to teach them that lets them in on the thrill of teaching and learning.
