Objectives:

Students will:

Understand how insects are classified

Create a diagram based on specific characteristics of an insect

Draw and label the anatomy of an insect

Plan with a partner

Build a model based on plans and diagrams

Procedure:

1. Work with a partner.

2. Select the type of bug you and your partner will build from the following choices:

4. Draw your bug in pencil in the space below. Use colored pencils to complete your drawing. Make sure you include at least one physical adaptation on your bug to its specific environment.
