Convertalot - How about an easy-to-use online tool for calculating conversions in math, science, family and consumer education, or physical education?  Check out this site for all your conversion needs.

Flags and Maps of the World - Information provided via the Central Intelligence Agency World Fact Book, this site connects you to maps and flags of every formally recognized country.

KidsConnect - KidsConnect is a technology initiative of the American Association of School Librarians (AASL) and provides a means to students involved in large-scale projects and reports to ask questions and accept on-line referrals from librarians.

Infonation - A great resource for comparing statistical information on countries of the world.

Ask Dr. Math - Ask Dr. Math is a question and answer service for math students and their teachers. A searchable archive is available by level and topic, as well as summaries of Frequently Asked Questions. 


Elementary Students

KidsClick! - KidsClick! was created by a group of librarians as a logical step in addressing concerns about the role of public libraries in guiding their young users to valuable and age appropriate web sites.

Kidsites - Published as a directory for hundreds of the best kids sites on the Internet, this site should prove to meet the needs of the inquisitive student and parent alike.

 


Middle-Schoolers

KidsHub - KidsHub is a noncommercial portal to excellent free online learning activities for middle school students.

Figure This!  Math Challenges for Families - Figure This! provides interesting math challenges that middle-school students can do at home with their families.

FirstGov for Kids - FirstGov for Kids links to Federal kids' sites along with some of the best kids' sites from other organizations all grouped by subject.

IPL Youth Divsion - Hosted by the School of Information at the University of Michigan, the Internet Public Library (IPL) Youth Division is an well organized directory of middle school appropriate sites.

 


High School

High School Hub - A sister site to the middle school-aged KidsHub, High School Hub features learning activities, an ongoing teen poetry contest, a reference collection, college information, and subject guides for English, mathematics, science, social studies, world languages, arts, health, and technology.

IPL Teen Division - Teen-friendly and a reliable source for answering the burning questions teens possess, the Internet Public Library Teen Division is a well organized directory of high school appropriate sites.

Research Process Helper - An excellent resource to help high school students select and refine the process of writing research papers.

The History Guide - The History Guide has been created for high school and undergraduate students who are either taking classes in history, or who intend to major in history in college. The purpose of The History Guide is to better prepare students for history classes and to make their time in class more enjoyable and proficient.
